It’s also great for sending out short and concise messages, ie; prayer request’s or announcements.

In this lesson I want to show you how you can easily set up an account with twitter.

The first step is to go to the twitter home page. www.twitter.com

On the twitter homepage you should see a Big Green button with the text “Get Started-Join” in the middle of the page “Click” on it to start the process of setting up your twitter account.

The next step is to fill in your personal details,

  • Full Name.
  • Desired Username.
  • Password.
  • Email Address.
  • and the Capture Image text.

twitterdetailsIn the next step you will be asked if you would like to find any of your friends in your email’s contacts list who maybe already using twitter, I don’t usually worry about this step, So I choose to skip it, you can skip this step by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page, you can always come back and do this step later if you prefer or…

Simply type in your email account details, ie; Username and Password and Twitter will search through your email account and return any of your contacts who are currently using twitter.

In the next screen Twitter will suggest some popular people for you to follow, Unless you are genuinely interested in following the suggested people, I would also recommend you skip this step or just uncheck the boxes next to the profile name you don’t want to follow.

By not following these people you will not be bombarded with random tweets about stuff you have absolutely no interest in, And being new to twitter I would suggest you start out by only following a few of your friends or people you have an acquaintance with.
