This Step By Step Tutorial Will Show You How To Add Your Blog To Your Feedburner Account.

In this tutorial I am going to run through the process of setting up a new RSS feed in your Feedburner account.

The first step is to make sure you are logged into your feedburner account.

On the Feedburner home page you will see a text area where you have the choice of adding your blog’s URL or the link to the RSS feed from your blog.

Although you can’t see it in the image below I just added the URL of my test blog, and as you will see as we move forward in this tutorial, Feedburner has recognized that my site has two available feeds.

The two main feeds Feedburner has found for my site are, one for the content source, and another for the comments on the posts.

If your Blog has multiple feeds, you may want to enter in the specific link of the RSS feed.

You can get the specific link of your RSS feed by right clicking on the RSS icon on your blog and saving the link, usually the option for saving a link is Save Link As.

In this set up, I want to add the blog’s content feed, but the steps outlined here will work with setting up both feeds.

After you have decided on the specific feed you want to add to your Feedburner account, click on the Next button to continue.

In the next step, Feedburner will pull in the details of your site, This will help to recognize which feed is from which site, this becomes especially useful if you have multiple sites.

The name of your feed is usually taken from your blog title. Click on the Next button to continue.

As yo can see from the image below Feedburner has now produced a brand new link for our RSS feed. This is the link we need when adding Feedburner to our Blog.

Click the Next button to Continue.

Next we are asked if we would like to add additional features to our Feedburner feed setting.

Feedburner by default provides great features, but you can also add more in the way of stats and analytics if you want.

Click on the I want more! check box.

Click Next to continue.

And finally in the next screen is where you see that you have successfully added your feed into your Feedburner account.

It’s also on this page that you can download any widgets and plugins that will help you in adding the Feedburner link into your website.

But as far as adding your blog to your Feedburner account goes, thats all there is to it.

A Step By Step Guide On How To Set Up A New Google Account.

There are some things online you simply can’t go without, and having a Google account, in my opinion is one of them, the tools and services Google currently offers are essentials if you want to set up a solid foundation for your online ministry.

Usually the first step I like to take in setting up an account with Google is to set up a Gmail account.

The first place to start is the Google home page, to go to the Google home page type into your browsers address bar www.Google.com

In the top left hand side of the Google home page you will see some links for various Google services and products, Click on the Gmail link to get started.

On the right hand side of the next screen to open, you will see a form where you can sign into an existing Google account and a button that has the text Create An Account, We want to click on the Create An Account button.

In the next step you will be asked to fill in the usual details, First Name, Last Name, Desired Username etc…

When you are choosing your username, you will need to make sure that the Username you want is available, just type your preferred username into the Desired Login Name field and click on the Check Availabilty Button.

If your desired user name is available you will see the result returned in blue just under the Check Availability Button.

If the username your after isn’t available, your negative result will come back in a bold red color, Google will then offer some suggested usernames based on your initial username query.

The next step is to create a strong Password, I always recommend a Password with UPPER and lower case letters, numbers and symbols, and make sure it’s one you won’t forget.

After you have entered your password, you will need to choose a security question, this is just in case you ever forget your password and you need to verify your account, I usually choose the option to write my own question, as an added layer of security.

After you’ve written your personalized security question and entered your answer, you then have the option to put in a secondary email address, this could be one your current internet provider has supplied.

If you do have an email account you’re already using, it’s a good idea to insert it here, just in case you ever forget the log in details to your account and Google needs to send you a new password.

Then you will need to choose the location of your country, fill in the security capture image to verify that you are human and not a spam bot, make sure you read the terms of service and if you agree, click on the I accept, Create my account button.

and that’s all there is to it, you now have your very own Google account.

But… the first screen you will see looks like a bit of a dead end, with no real visible links to your available services, to access your new Gmail account just click on the Gmail logo in the top left hand corner of your screen.

Then you should be taken to the inside of your brand new Gmail account.

You can now start sending out emails from gmail.com and take advantage of the many free services Google has to offer.
