A Web browser is basically a software that takes various coding languages and translates the code in an easily readable visual form.
Some of the most popular web browsers that you may of heard of are, Internet Explorer, Fire Fox, Safari, Opera and Flock, but there are so many more web browsers available today on the Internet.
A web browser usually comes pre-installed when you purchase your computer, if you buy a PC the default web browser is usually Internet Explorer, with Mac it’s Safari.
When you open your web browser, what you are seeing is the translation of the code that makes up the webpage and not the actual code the webpage is written in.
As an example, to see this page you would of opened your webbrowser, you would be seeing the content on your computer screen in the same way you would see a page in a book or magazine, but the code that makes the text on your screen readable and easy to understand looks nothing like what you are actually looking at.

Now if we take a look at the code that makes up the exact same Google home page, you would be looking at something like this…
So as you can see from the two screen shots above, your web browser really does change the way you view the web.
